Solids that settle readily? Inclined-plate clarification may be worth evaluating. Oil, grease or lighter solids may instead need flotation.
Inclined plates for clarification
Inclined plates provide settling surfaces within a compact tank. Solids settle onto the plates and slide toward the sludge collection zone; clarified water is collected above.
Check the settling duty
- Design and peak flow; influent and target suspended solids.
- Settling or jar-test data and chemical conditioning.
- Plate material and spacing, access for cleaning and sludge discharge.
- Available footprint, inlet/outlet levels and downstream connections.
