DAF or lamella clarification?
Oil, grease or light suspended solids? Flotation may be worth evaluating. Solids that settle readily may instead suit a lamella clarifier.
Flotation for lighter solids
Fine bubbles attach to suspended matter and carry it to the surface, where the floated sludge is removed. The package brings together the flotation tank, air-saturation and recycle arrangement, surface removal and controls.
What determines the configuration
- Wastewater source, average and peak flow.
- Suspended solids, fats/oils, pH and target effluent quality.
- Coagulation/flocculation and available flotation test results.
- Recycle arrangement, sludge removal, materials and installation space.
