You have received three quotations. All three suppliers say they can meet your requirements. Their prices, delivery times and equipment descriptions look broadly comparable.
So how do you decide which one is right for your project?
A quotation shows what a supplier is offering. It does not always show how well that supplier understands your application—or how effectively they will work with your team once the order is placed.
Look beyond the product
A manufacturer may build good equipment but have limited experience with the documentation, inspection and communication requirements of an international project.
Another may respond quickly during the sales stage, while important technical questions remain unanswered.
The assessment needs to cover more than manufacturing capability:
- Experience with the equipment and its intended application.
- Understanding of your specifications and operating conditions.
- Clarity about what is included, excluded or still to be confirmed.
- Ability to provide drawings, records and technical responses.
- Production capacity and a realistic delivery plan.
A certificate or a factory photograph can support an assessment. Neither tells the whole story.
How G-LINK helps
We assess suitable manufacturers against the project—not simply against a product name or the lowest price.
We work through technical questions, examine the proposed supply scope and identify gaps that need clarification. Where factory assessment or additional verification is appropriate, we help define what needs to be checked.
Just as importantly, we look at how the supplier responds. Clear answers, consistent information and a willingness to address limitations are useful indicators of how the working relationship may develop.
What this means for your team
The aim is not to find a supplier who says “yes” to everything. It is to establish a sound basis for choosing one who can support the work your project actually requires.
