The quotation matches your requested flow rate. The motor power looks reasonable. The material is listed as stainless steel.
Everything appears ready to proceed.
But does the flow rate refer to normal operation or maximum capacity? Which parts are stainless steel? What happens when the feed conditions change? Who supplies the instruments and control signals needed to operate the equipment?
These details can remain hidden behind a quotation that looks complete.
A specification is a starting point
Different suppliers may interpret the same requirement differently. Unstated assumptions can affect equipment selection, price, installation and eventual performance.
Before production, it helps to separate four things:
- Operating conditions: what the equipment will actually receive and handle.
- Required outcomes: what the project needs it to achieve.
- Supply scope: what equipment, auxiliaries and documents are included.
- Interfaces: how the equipment connects to the rest of the system.
For a sludge dewatering package, for example, the industry and sludge-generating process matter alongside flow and solids concentration. Operating hours, polymer preparation, feed arrangements and cake handling also influence the complete solution.
How G-LINK helps
We work through these details with the customer and manufacturer, bringing questions into a clear technical discussion.
We help distinguish confirmed information from assumptions, record deviations and clarify responsibilities for supporting equipment and interfaces. When a requirement changes, we follow through on its effect on the quotation, drawings, production and delivery.
If information is not yet available, we identify what remains open rather than quietly treating an estimate as a confirmed design condition.
What this means for your team
Clear technical alignment reduces the chance of discovering an important mismatch after the equipment has been manufactured—or delivered.
