The equipment has arrived, but the site team still has questions.
Which utilities must be ready? What needs checking before start-up? How often should the equipment be serviced? Which spare parts should be available locally?
These questions are easier to resolve before delivery than during an urgent call from site.
Handover is more than a manual
A manual is important, but the operating team also needs information that matches the equipment supplied and the conditions at site.
A useful handover should address:
- Installation, access and utility requirements.
- Start-up checks and operating procedures.
- Routine inspection, cleaning and maintenance.
- Wear parts, consumables and spare-part identification.
- Drawings, component information and support contacts.
Maintenance access deserves early attention too. Equipment that fits into the available space may still be difficult to clean, inspect or repair.
How G-LINK helps
We coordinate the relevant equipment documents and work through installation and operational questions with the manufacturer.
We help clarify what information the site team needs, identify outstanding handover items and organise support questions around the supplied equipment.
Where commissioning assistance, training or additional site support is needed, we help establish the appropriate arrangement in advance.
For spare parts, clear model and component identification is especially useful. It reduces the risk of ordering a part that appears similar but does not fit the supplied configuration.
What this means for your team
Better preparation can reduce avoidable confusion at start-up and make routine maintenance easier to organise.
